Brian Boulanger began his career as a developer in the renewable energy sector at Direct Energie (now Neoen). He led the group’s initial solar power projects in France and Portugal. Brian then joined Intersec (software) and established a subsidiary in the United States. Returning to Neoen, he co-managed the GenSun subsidiary (a 55-person SME specializing in the construction and maintenance of renewable energy installations). After contributing to the turnaround of the business, Brian oversaw its sale to the French family group Ponticelli. Following the successful post-merger integration, Brian aspired to embark on his own entrepreneurial journey through the acquisition of an SME. He actively worked together with Trajan in the search and acquisition of a company.
Brian holds degrees from Ecole Polytechnique and INSEAD.

After a successful initial phase of development, the founders of AB Process aimed to take their company to the next level while preserving its independence.
They were looking for a solution that would allow them to secure a portion of their wealth and continue to develop the company by strengthening the management team. This would enable them to refocus on the technical aspects they had to sideline to steer the growth.
In May 2023, Trajan sold its stake to Cerea Partners, and reinvested in the new operation.
